(More customer reviews)This product is not what it claims to be, it's a compound and a very unhealthy, expensive compound at that. This is not chocolate and there is nothing in this product that has anything to do with chocolate or cocoa or coco butter. The label indicates that it is a couverture chocoalte, but couverture chocolate has at least 32% coco butter to make the chocolate viscous enough to flow through fountains and act like fondue. This product does not contain any coco (0%) and it does not have any coco butter (0%) so it can't be a couverture chocolate. In fact, it can't even be chocolate because there isn't any cocoa in it. Likewise, the front of the bag states in the subtitle that it's a fountain and fondue chocolate, but the outside of the SF packaging box that it was shipped in has a label added that directs you to "Add 1/2 cup Vegetable or Canola oil per bag and stir frequently". If it were truly a fondue chocolate, as the subtitle states, you wouldn't need to add any oil.
Here's the ingredients and ingredients are in order of greatest percentage first: Sugar, Fractionated Palm Kernal and Partially Hydrogenated Palm Oil, Non-Fat Dry Milk, Soy Lecithin (an emulsifier), Vanillan (an artificial flavor) and Salt. Even if you knew nothing about health you should know what these products are and how terrible transfats are for you.
I read the ingredients a few times... nothing chocolate in it? When you get right down to it, white chocolate, technically isn't really chocolate anyway, but only because it doesn't have that much cocoa in it. "Not that much" is usually more than 15% cocoa and coco butter. The irony of all this is that the back of their packaging states that "after trying numerous chocolate, we finally cam across the best in taste. We know chocolate fountains and chocolate fondue. It's all we do." Well, I guess in their endeavorer to find chocolate someone slipped a bit of very unhealthy compound past them.
