(More customer reviews)I've ordered the Trophy Nut Mini Pretzels twice so far and they are one of my favorites from Amazon. My ideal chocolate pretzel is actually made by Utz and they feature a full sized pretzel instead of the mini-versions which are commonly used in snack foods. My ideal chocolate pretzel is more pretzel than chocolate with a nice touch of salt and slight bitterness to the chocolate. This version by Trophy Nut fulfills two of the three things I look for - the chocolate isn't super sweet (but sweeter than semi-sweet baking chocolate) or very dark. The chocolate coating isn't super thick, so the flavor of the pretzel is allowed to come through. There is also a nice bit of rock salt still left on the pretzel, so every once and a while you get a nice shot of pure salt flavor. If they had a full-sized pretzel version, this would be pretty much up to par with the Utz versions I normally find in brick-and-mortar stores.
I would rate this chocolate pretzel great for folks who like chocolate pretzels that aren't super sweet, and like the pretzel flavor. If you tend to like the sweeter, milk chocolate taste more than semi-sweet, check out the Great Skott Chocolate Pretzels, 8-Ounce (Pack of 6) instead.
