Each 10-inch-long package contains ten wafers, in two layers of five. The wafers are three-ply (two layers of filling, and three layers of cracker), and bigger than you'd expect. Two make a reasonable light snack (according to the package, 140 calories worth). They're sweet, but not cloying (more cocoa than chocolate), and satisfyingly crispy. They sog up quickly when dunked, though, so I'd have the tea as a chaser, not mixed in.
The package is not glued paper - it's heat-sealed polypropylene plastic sheet, and thus water- and bug-proof. The "best by" date indicates the wafers keep about a year (unopened). Not quite an MRE, but fine for civilian traveling.
