(More customer reviews)Warning to those who about to purchase this product. The content varies from jar ro jar: I purchased two jars, and one looked like normal honey, however, another looked dark and tasted more like molasses and burnt sugar than natural honey. The date on the bottom of the jar indicated it was filled in December 2009, meaning the bulk honey had to be reheated to allow filling as it would definitely get crystallized by the winter. The manufacturer (Anna's Honey) promised to investigate but refused to inform what are the temperatures they heat their honey when filling in winter conditions. To be fair, they offered to replace the product, but the shipping would cost me as much as the honey itself, so I decided to consume it despite the funny taste and smell. The honey did not have any adverse effects on my health, however, I didn't enjoy it either. If the difference wasn't due to the overheating, then it only meant that the honey wasn't collected just from blackberry bushes, but there might have been some other flowering source to it, like eucalyptus. Bottom line: my recommendation not to order this brand from re-seller, but buy it directly from the manufacturer and ask for the batches that were filled in the month when raspberries (or blackberries) are in bloom.

To produce an all natural honey with blackberry essence, Pacific Northwest Bees are raised to pollinate blackberry bushes. The bees produce honey which is allowed to ripen in the hive. Raw unfiltered blackberry honey from Anna's Honey is then collected from the hive and packaged in easy to open wide mouth mini-pint jars.
