(More customer reviews)I've recently developed an allergy to the caffeine in chocolate and so have been looking for chocolate substitutes. I remembered carob from my childhood. It was the funky health food "chocolate alternative" that didn't taste too good.
Goldie's carob, hazelnut and praline bar actually tastes great! The texture is a lot like chocolate, but the taste is different. The hazelnuts and pralines aren't that obvious, they give the bar a slightly crunchy texture but don't do much to change the flavor.
If I was rating this bar as it compares to chocolate it would get a three star rating. If I was rating this bar on it's own I would give it a five star rating. So I'm settling on a four star rating.
