(More customer reviews)My family is allergic to GMO corn, so we cannot eat most mixes. This one had no corn starch. I read the bad review, but I thought, "Well a sweet bread isn't so bad."
I've no idea how that person made this mix, but when I made it, it came out light and fluffy and absolutely 100% cake like. I use butter when I bake as my oil. I used a silicone spatula to mix it for about a minute- until it was thoroughly mixed and beaten. I greased (with butter) and lightly floured a pan (whole wheat flour), and I used a 4.5 liter pan made of corningwear for baking, which I think is 13 by 9 inch. I used whole unhomogenized milk, and the 2 eggs- amounts exactly as specified on the package.
I would definitely buy this again. It's totally delicious cake, and we can actually eat it- which makes it even better.
