A nice change of pace from York Peppermint Patties, these offer a rich coconut taste and texture without the sometimes overly cooling effects of the Yorks.
Made by Anastasia Confections of Orlando, these were a new find for me. I will definitely be buying them again, though with 4g of saturated fat per patty, I will enjoy them in moderation. To be fair, they are about as (un)healthy as a Moon Pie, but being smaller in size, each bite seems more concentrated. Still, they do have less sodium than Moon Pies.
The problem is that Amazon doesn't offer these for direct sale, or in sane package sizes. Even if I *could* buy it on Amazon (or anywhere by mail, for that matter), I probably wouldn't. Chocolate dipped treats don't do well in heat, and sitting in a non-temperature controlled delivery van may cause meltdown. So check out Cracker Barrel, or TJ Maxx, Marshalls, Homegoods, or Stein Mart (even though some of those sound bizarre, the company told me so), and possibly even more additional retailers if you live in the Southeast.
